This is a benchmark project that will set the standard for infill redevelopments, and is a key initiative that will help balance environmental, heritage and cultural requirements with quality development.
The Improvement Scheme will ensure the coordinated development of a new urban community that seeks high-quality design, appropriate land use, high amenity, and private sector investment.
The learnings taken from developing the Improvement Scheme will provide a real opportunity to redevelop other infill sites going forward. The process has produced a tool that will unlock the potential for more sustainable development.
