Richmond Football Club identified a need to upgrade their home facilities at Punt Road to better provide for the elite Men’s and Women’s teams, as well as a range of community programs.
The redevelopment allows RFC to stay in Richmond – with equitable, state of the art facilities for female athletes and a venue that will comfortably accommodate fans and supporters.
The redevelopment will expand and realign the existing oval, demolishing the existing Jack Dyer Stand, to create a new grandstand and redevelop land currently utilised as an at-grade carpark.
The project had a range of complexities, including heritage considerations, and bricks from the old stand will be used in the new construction. Urbis secured Ministerial approval for a new Incorporated Document that allows the Club to begin works in 2023.
