We were brought onto the project as the key planning advisor in 2023 to assist Waverley Council and Bronte Surf Life Saving Club in the preparation of an amended development application to redevelop the Bronte Surf Life Saving Club.
Working closely with the Club, Waverley Council, and Warren and Mahoney architects, our planning team prepared the planning submission for the Club, which has been thoughtfully designed to seamlessly integrate into the Bronte parkland and coastal setting, creating an iconic landmark on the eastern beaches.
Out urban design team assisted the project team in preparing a visual impact assessment to ensure the built form and design sensitively manages and minimises any view impacts to the surrounding local residents.
The DA was approved by the Sydney Eastern City Planning Panel on 11 April 2024.
“We are proud to have worked on this beautifully designed community building, which will activate the public domain and provide essential club and council spaces for Bronte.
