Four outstanding leaders added to Urbis partnership

Urbis has appointed four outstanding leaders to its partnership, announcing Andy Johnston, Alaine Roff, Rebecca Lyons, and Nicholas Stevenson as new owners.

Meet our new partners
Andy Johnston, Brisbane
Andy leads Urbis’ transport projects in Queensland and is an industry-recognised expert in transport planning and traffic engineering. He has been instrumental in strengthening leadership and advancing firm-wide initiatives, including standardising project delivery systems, sharing expertise, and delivering great outcomes for clients – and is an exemplary leader within Urbis.
Alaine Roff, Sydney
Alaine is a highly strategic urban planner who has demonstrated a strong commitment to delivering outcomes for clients. Since joining Urbis in 2014, she has managed complex projects across the residential, commercial, industrial, education, and government sectors, and has represented clients in significant matters before the NSW Land and Environment Court. Her leadership under pressure, combined with her ability to provide clear and confident advice, ensures clients receive well-considered solutions and dependable results.
Rebecca Lyons, Melbourne
Rebecca is a recognised leader in the residential sector, with a focus on social and affordable housing – one of the most significant challenges facing Australian cities. Her adaptability enables her to navigate complex planning environments and deliver strong outcomes across diverse projects. Clients value her strategic insight, industry leadership, and ability to deliver solutions that balance community needs with commercial objectives.
Nicholas Stevenson, Gold Coast
Nick is an urban designer and landscape architect with a bold, creative edge, transforming spaces into destinations, from tourism precincts to public realm projects, blending innovation with strategic thinking. Since joining Urbis as a student, Nick has become a key leader in the business, delivering high-profile projects such as the master planning of the Jupiters Hotel and Casino (The Star Gold Coast) and Queens Wharf Brisbane. Clients value his ability to create designs that inspire, endure, and realise their vision, while contributing to the growth and impact of Urbis.
