The development application prepared for Scentre Group will unlock the ability to revitalise Westfield Penrith and transform it into a new Entertainment and Leisure Precinct (ELP).
The proposal involved revitalising and activating the existing Westfield Penrith Shopping Centre through the construction of a new 3 level dining precinct on Riley Street. It also included the refurbishment of the existing Hoyts Cinema to include two new Lux Cinema Auditoriums.
As the key planning advisor, Urbis ensured that the proposal achieved high design quality and positively contributes to the changing character of the area through close collaboration with Penrith City Council and their Design Review Panel.
The ELP and Cinema Expansion project is set to establish a new night-time economy in Penrith, improving the vibrancy of the area after dark and providing a new space for the community to enjoy.
