At Urbis, Marcus is the Lead Director of the National Advisory Team, which is recognised as a market leader in the strategic management of statutory valuations and outgoings.
Marcus specialises in all areas of valuation advisory and corporate real estate, with expertise in portfolio composition, acquisition and divestment; value-add strategy and implementation; leasing advisory; and tenancy liaison. He has represented the same expansive blue chip client base for over two decades, becoming a trusted advisor to major institutions, superannuation funds, listed property trusts and private organisations, including the Shopping Centre Council of Australia.
He was lead expert in the landmark Pacific Fair and Chermside court cases from 2003 to 2010, which delivered refunds in excess of $25 million to the shopping centre owners. Marcus also managed the development, leasing and ultimate divestment of The Well shopping centre in Camberwell, Victoria.
Marcus has represented the same expansive blue chip client base for over two decades which is testament to his ‘trusted advisor’ status.
Career highlights include being a lead expert in the landmark Pacific Fair and Chermside court cases from 2003 to 2010 which delivered the then owner group (Centro, CFSGAM, QIC and Westfield) land tax and council rate refunds in excess of $25M and managing the development, leasing and ultimate divestment of The Well shopping centre Andrew Myer.
