Karen has significant experience in transport engineering for a broad cross-section of private and government clients. Her skills have developed through over 20 years of providing transport engineering advice on various developments from initial master planning through to detailed design with significant experience in transport impact assessments for various state significant and local planning applications.

Her projects benefit from a pragmatic approach with her background experience in intersection capacity analysis, strategy studies, road safety, local area traffic management and design of various traffic and intersection treatments.

Karen is client focused with strong project management to ensure practical transport outcomes are achieved. She is also an accredited Level 3 (Lead) NSW Road Safety Auditor with experience across all the auditing stages of existing conditions, design and pre and post opening.

Some of Karen’s project experience includes: 

  • Transport advice from the master planning through to SSDA for the Ryde Hospital Redevelopment.
  • Transport assessments for the concept masterplan and Stage 1 SSDA’s for a mixed-use development part of the Gosford ‘Waterfront Precinct’ transformation.
  • Transport assessments for the Planning Proposal, and Staged DA’s for the proposed development for around 1,150 residential lots in Schofields.
  • Planning Proposal transport assessment to enable development on a 265-hectare site with 550-650 residential lots at Fennell Bay.
  • Lead Road Safety Auditor for the existing conditions audit of the haulage routes for the South Keswick Quarry Production Increase in Dubbo, NSW.
  • Transport advice for the master planning stage of Liverpool Boys and Girls High Schools and SSDA for the new primary school adjacent to the two high schools.
