Ivana Vetta

Ivana brings over 18 years of consulting and archaeological experience in Australia, with international experience in Greece, Cyprus, Saudi Arabia, and the Solomon Islands. She has provided practical and strategic advice to a variety of public and private sector clients, covering both Aboriginal cultural heritage and historical archaeology. She has special interest in Industrial Archaeology but also has extensive experience working on domestic and commercial sites. Ivana has led over 80 archaeological excavations in NSW and Tasmania, including sites of State significance. Her projects range from small residential developments to large mixed-use commercial sites with complex archaeological issues spanning both Aboriginal Heritage and Historical Archaeology. As Excavation Director, she has managed archaeological teams and coordinated with contractors, stakeholders, and heritage authorities. Ivana’s extensive experience and leadership in archaeology make her an invaluable asset to Urbis, integrating archaeology and heritage into the development of our cities and communities.
