Chrissy Carter is a highly accomplished designer with a strong understanding of urban landscapes.

In 2015, Chrissy joined Urbis’ National Design Team in Melbourne after almost eight years with Urbis’ Brisbane office. She has over 12 years’ experience designing urban spaces and holds qualifications in urban and regional planning, and urban design. Chrissy’s experience is diverse. She is skilled in strategic positioning, urban strategy, town centre master planning, new community master planning and subdivision design.

Clients value Chrissy’s ability to comprehend the complex issues at play in creating, managing and delivering urban environments. Her involvement in multidisciplinary projects has given her the ability to identify and bring together the critical elements that deliver the best commercial, community and environmental development outcomes.

Chrissy has led the preparation on a number of town centre revitalisation and public realm enhancement strategies within Queensland and Victoria.  In particular, the Queensland Cultural Precinct Master Plan and the River’s Edge Strategy are considered strategies to enhance access whilst exploring recreational and economic development along the Brisbane River. In addition to her work on inner city projects, Chrissy has used her design abilities to create attractive residential communities within growth areas, including a number of projects at Tarneit in Melbourne’s western growth corridor.
