Urbis worked closely with the NSW Office of Environment and Heritage (OEH) and a network of regional coordinators throughout NSW to develop a framework that will guide future monitoring and review of the Regional Clean Energy Program (RCEP).

OEH developed RCEP to help build community understanding of renewable energy, support the renewable energy planning process and encourage investment in the NSW renewables sector. RCEP will also provide start-up funding for community-based energy projects.

Urbis worked closely with OEH and a network of regional coordinators throughout NSW, developing a framework that will guide future monitoring and review of RCEP’s performance.

With Urbis’ help, OEH was able to reassess its assumptions about RCEP, refine the target outcomes, identify factors critical to the program’s success and collect appropriate data to guide the process of monitoring and evaluating the program’s performance.

The resulting framework will allow OEH to identify any performance gaps and to measure how well RCEP is delivering on its goal of creating better awareness and use of renewable energy in NSW.
