Urbis helped the Australian National University (ANU) in the sale of its student accommodation, providing a detailed assessment of existing and future demand for its student housing, as well as the factors affecting long-term demand.
Urbis provided a detailed assessment of the existing and future demand for ANU’s student housing, as well as the factors affecting long-term demand.
ANU, in the ACT, caters to a high proportion of interstate and international students, who drive demand for its accommodation facilities. The university was looking for an investor to acquire its existing accommodation and develop additional facilities to meet the long-term needs of students. In conducting the study, we used our extensive experience in the sector – having worked on student accommodation projects at more than 30 university campuses in Australia and New Zealand over the previous five years.
ANU used the study to prepare due diligence information for prospective bidders, and it issued the study report to shortlisted bidders. Urbis also met with bidders to answer questions on the report and proposed sale.
