Sarah Houston is an urban planner with wide-ranging and international experience. She has a degree in geography and post graduate degree in city planning and regeneration, from the University of Glasgow, before working in Australia from 2007 and joining Urbis in 2011.

An expert at preparing planning approval strategies for development sites, Sarah has experience in a diverse range of projects, particularly in the retail and residential sectors. She works closely with her clients, project teams and approval bodies to streamline the development approval process.

Sarah’s key projects to date include a State significant development application for a mixed-use, high-density development at the North Ryde Station Precinct for UrbanGrowth NSW; the rollout of a new home-improvement retail offering across Sydney and regional NSW; and a Stage-one development application for a mixed-use development in Pagewood, NSW.

I enjoy the challenge of navigating complex planning pathways to enable development that realises clear aims and visions for the built environment.
