Renee Young has worked as a planning practitioner for more than 15 years.

Renee holds a Bachelor of Arts in Urban and Regional Planning from Perth’s Curtin University and is a Certified Practising Planner with the Planning Institute of Australia. Working for leading specialist practices in New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria and Western Australia, she has developed a detailed understanding of regulatory frameworks and development scenarios across the urban planning spectrum. She has particular expertise in land-use and statutory planning, urban infill and extractive industry projects.

At Urbis, Renee manages world-class redevelopment projects, advising on project positioning, due diligence, approval strategies and development applications. She liaises with private developers and public authorities, and prepares submissions to amend planning schemes and legislation. Through achieving preliminary approvals to override planning schemes, she has facilitated several major redevelopment projects, including the Brisbane Racing Club, CSIRO Indooroopilly and South City Square at Woolloongabba.

I deliver transformative outcomes for urban and regional places by creating commercially astute planning strategies and focusing on client needs.
