John Donoghue is a landscape architect whose work and travel in the UK and Asia bring an international flavour to his designs.

John’s innate understanding of the role of place in our lives allows him to design large and small outdoor spaces that are appreciated for their transformative power. He has worked on locations ranging from resorts to residential projects, business parks, urban spaces and healthcare facilities.

He has strong project management skills and more than 18 years’ experience in landscape master planning and landscape design, achieving a balance between built and natural environments.

He is pleased to have been part of rewarding projects such as the master planned communities North Lakes in Brisbane and Oceanside Kawana on the Sunshine Coast; parklands at Hinze Dam on the Gold Coast; East Shores, a waterfront recreation area in Gladstone; and government projects such as the revitalisation of the foreshore in Suva, the capital of Fiji.

I love design and its inherent potential for changing people’s experiences of the place in which they live.
