John Brannock is one of Australia’s most experienced and dedicated town planners and environmental management specialists – and his many awards attest to this.
He has worked in Australia, South-East Asia, Germany and Fiji. Public and private sector clients seek out his expertise in statutory and strategic planning advice, strategy development, heritage conservation, policy review and development assessment. John is also the inaugural Adjunct Professor in Town Planning at the University of Queensland (UQ), and has more than 100 publications to his name.
His peak projects include heritage and planning advice on Queen’s Wharf Brisbane; helping Stockland win approval for Twin Waters West on the Sunshine Coast; and his work as course coordinator of Advanced Planning Practice at UQ.
John has been awarded the Prime Minister’s Centenary Medal for service to conservation and the environment in Queensland; has twice won the Planning Institute of Australia Award for Planning Excellence; and received an Australian Property Institute Overall Award of Excellence.
